Chit Chat + Baby Daphne's First Month

Last “bump” photo before miss Daphne Faye arrived

Today marks exactly one month since we've had Daphne in our lives. We literally cannot imagine life without her- we are so in love.

First off, thank you to everyone who left sweet comments on my Facebook post. I have not been able to reply to all of them, but we see them and are so grateful for all the love. Also, thank you if you sent flowers or a sweet text- you are seriously amazing!!

As I mentioned above- we are crazy busy right now. On top of Colton working almost every day, he also started a new business. So, between helping with that business, housework, breastfeeding, pumping, and trying to keep up with my blog and socials, I have been on overdrive. I am not complaining at all, though, because I have the most incredible little girl and wouldn't trade my life for anything. I want time to slow down and soak in every moment. Every night, when I nurse Daphne and put her in her basset to sleep, I know she'll be one day older, and it makes me so teary-eyed. I know all moms can relate to that!

Anyway, that was just a minor update on my life lately. I am so excited, though, to expand this blog into more than just fashion, but now mom life and all that comes with it.

Here is a little recap of what this past month has looked like for us.

The first week we were home, I had so much adrenaline. I was so excited to wake up and feed her every two hours. I didn't sleep much, but I felt like I didn't need to; I was just so excited to see her.

NO MAKEUP DAYS

The second week went a lot like the first week, only I started to feel the exhaustion [tons of no makeup days] ; I had no more adrenaline. Thank goodness for all the help from Colton and my mom!

BATH TIME

In week three, Daphne's umbilical cord officially fell off, so she got to take a full bath. I love baths- in fact, from my second trimester till the day before we checked into the Hospital, I took long baths every day. Daphne definitely takes after me in that haha!

I am linking her full bath routine products in my LTK :)

Officially ONE MONTH

This week, week four, she looks around a lot with her eyes and is lifting her head really well. She's growing so much, and it makes me happy and sad at the same time! Okay, I was so chatty today, but I need to go feed Daphne, so I'll wrap this up.

Thank you again for all the love, and I'm excited to share my next blog post next week. See ya then!
