Okay- I have to tell ya’ll about this island we went to called Island Mujeres! If you travel to Cancun, I recommend you ferry over to this island and go to Lotus Boutique Hotel. You pay a cover fee of like $20 per person when you get there, but you can sit on the beach in these cute little huts or swim in the ocean. The $20 goes towards your food and drinks while you're there enjoying the water- so it works out perfectly! The water there is unbelievable - like it literally looks like a huge swimming pool, but it's the ocean. I was in awe the whole time and couldn't stop saying how beautiful it was. At first, I didn't really want to go because we were staying at an all-inclusive resort, but I am so glad I did. I promise it is worth the trip over there! We stayed around the island for most of the day. We went shopping and rode golf carts around the island. It was really entertaining, especially if you have a big group of friends!
